Slidesgo is the AI presentation generator from the site that, for years, was already known for its thousands of ready-made PowerPoint and Google Slides templates. The difference here is that you don't pick a template from the catalog: you type the topic — "The Industrial Revolution for 8th grade," for example — pick a writing tone, and the AI writes the text for every slide and applies the design, all at once. I tested it with "French Revolution for 9th grade, teaching tone" and in under a minute had a draft with ten slides, to-the-point text and a design I wouldn't be embarrassed to project in class. It's not brilliant — one slide came out a bit generic and I had to rewrite it — but it saves the tedious part: building the skeleton from scratch.

When another slide tool works better
If Slidesgo's 3-free-a-month ceiling feels tight, it's worth checking the rest of the shelf. Gamma turns a sentence into a presentation in seconds and tends to have a simpler generation flow — but it charges separate credits after the trial. ChatSlide AI goes the other way: it starts from a PDF, article or link you already have and turns it into slides, though on the free plan it only exports as PDF with a watermark.
