You describe your topic in plain language — the way you would explain it to a colleague — and it generates slides with text, images and layout in under a minute. Think of it as a slide assistant that already knows design: you bring the content, it handles the look and structure.
It works in the browser, nothing to install. The account is free and requires no credit card.

From zero to your first presentation

Go to gamma.app and create your account
Click "Sign up for free". You can sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple or email. No credit card is required. The free plan starts with 400 credits.

Click "Create new"
On the home dashboard, find the button to start a new project. Choose the type: "Presentation", "Document" or "Page".

Choose "Generate with AI"
Three options appear: generate with AI from a prompt, paste existing text, or import a file. Choose the first one.

Write your topic
In the text box, describe the subject in plain language. The more context you give, the better the result. Example: "Sales proposal for building maintenance services — client: 200-unit condominium".

Review the suggested outline
The AI proposes a topic outline before generating the slides. You can edit, reorder or remove topics. Click "Continue" when you are happy with it.

Choose a visual theme and click "Generate"
Pick one of the available layout options or click "Surprise me". Generation happens in real time, card by card.

Edit and share
Click any text to rewrite it. Use the built-in AI chat to request adjustments ("Make this slide more concise"). To share, copy the public link or export as PDF or PowerPoint.

Tips and common mistakes
Do this
- Use the built-in AI chat to request adjustments after generation: "Rewrite this slide as 3 short bullet points".
- Share via public link instead of exporting: the client opens it on their phone and you preserve your credits.
- Explore the "Page" type too — you can create a publishable mini landing page with a free gamma.site domain.
Real limitations
- The free plan has limited credits: exporting to PowerPoint or generating AI images burns through them quickly.
- Layout control is more limited than in traditional PowerPoint: you adjust within templates, but don't have full pixel-level freedom.
- Free plan presentations show the Gamma logo in the footer — removing it requires a paid plan.
