- On the dashboard, find the video generation section
You will see options including "Text to Video" and "Image to Video". Start with Image to Video — results are more predictable.

- Describe the motion in the text field

Tips & real limitations
Do this
- Write prompts in English — the model responds more accurately than with other languages.
- Specify the camera movement ("slow zoom in", "pan left") and lighting — these determine most of the output quality.
- Start with Image to Video: uploading a reference photo gives a more controlled and predictable result.
Verified limitations
- The 125 free credits are one-time only and do not renew — once used, you must subscribe to a paid plan (from $12/month).
- All free plan videos include a visible Runway watermark — not suitable for professional or commercial use without paying.
- Human characters and faces can appear distorted or inconsistent across frames — the model still struggles with detailed anatomy in motion.
