What it is

Finished designs from a single sentence

Canva now has Magic Studio: a set of AI tools inside Canva that generates images, text, video, and design from a plain-language prompt. You describe what you want — “promo post for a clothing store” — and it builds the artwork for you to fine-tune.

Why it matters

You publish without depending on a designer or waiting days

Paying for artwork and waiting on delivery holds up your promotion — and the sale date comes and goes.

30 seconds

Describe “winter sale, women's store, elegant tone” and get 4 ready-made options to pick from and publish. You're in control, no queue.

In your day

How people in different roles use it

Small business owner

Promo artwork for Instagram and WhatsApp on the spot, no designer to hire.

Social media manager

Posts at scale that stay on-brand using the Brand Kit.

Teacher

Class visuals and polished presentations in minutes.

The more specific the prompt, the better the result. A vague description produces a vague design.

Tips & common mistakes

Do this

  • Be specific in your description (audience, style, colors) — it changes everything.
  • Set up your Brand Kit so every design comes out with your identity.
  • Use Magic Switch to adapt the same artwork to multiple formats.

Avoid

  • Relying on everything in the free plan: Magic Write has a cap (~50 uses/month).
  • Brand Kit, Magic Eraser, and Magic Switch require the Pro plan.
  • Generic description → generic design. Spell out your request.
